Welcome to this week's media news.
On March 27, TM Unifi's IPTV service Hypp TV changed its channel numbering. The channel numbering is similar to Astro's. The change in channel numbering affects most of its channels where they are mostly in the 100s; only the free-to-air TV stations and radio channels (Media Prima and Star Publication) are not affected. The new channel numbering as follows:
1xx: Free-to-air and Malay channels
20x and 22x:: Chinese channels
30x: Indian and Bollywood channels
4xx: News channels
50x: Documentary channels
55x-56x: Kids channels
60x: Music channels
61x: Entertainment channels
62x: Lifestyle channels
7xx: Sports channels
Speaking about TV3's news sets, I found out that only Berita Terkini, Detik Niaga 10 and Buletin 1:30 are only using the near-the-newsroom set (as mentioned in the previous episode). The other news programmes come from Studio A Sri Pentas.
NTV7 will air the horror drama series Tanah Merah, directed by Khabir Bhatia. The first episode will air first on Tonton Premiere starting today followed by on NTV7 the next week at 8:30 pm. For each episode viewers will pay as low as RM 3 to watch for 48 hours unlimited.
