(Made two weeks ago)
Here are some supplements to my recent media news episode and thoughts made by myself.
TV3
promotes the Petronas Malaysian Cub Prix Championship event. The
championship is now in its 20th season. It is held by
motorsports@petronas and highlights of the championship event airs on
TV3 after midnight, which makes it somewhat a rather minor programme to
me since it airs after midnight where I would be sleeping. It is TV3's
habit to air sports programmes after midnight, since it airs very few
sports programmes on TV since pay-TV took almost all of the sports
programme rights. RTM concentrates on local sports. Besides Petronas
Malaysian Cub Prix, TV3 airs The Football Review, Scoreboard and Kaki
Bola.
It seems that when the recent haze period comes
in, TV stations will go to the top floor of their building and record
what happens outside, during the haze and after the haze when there is
clean air and bright sky. The TV stations should adapt the convenient way to record what happens outside is through a special CCTV-like camera called the "tenki camera" (天気カメラ; weather camera) in Japan. It is more popular there where it is also used for news programmes and weather forecasts. But I'm not sure about the cost to install and air it. I'm not talking about the more common American-ish weather cameras. In a related matter, TV2 places a camera that
faces the Mid Valley City near Angkasapuri, where the camera is located.
The camera shot can be seen at the end of TV2's news programmes every
day especially News on 2.
The production of Fokus Hari
Ini on Hypp TV, which was previously produced by Bernama for a long time, is now
produced by The Capital TV as of June 2013. Fokus Hari Ini is a daily
Malay news programme which is available on Hypp TV's VOD service.
Media
Prima has three studio complexes, one in Sri Pentas, another in Plaza
Alam Sentral in Shah Alam, and another one in NTV7 Glenmarie Shah Alam. I'll write more about this if I have time.
